Total Warrior is back for a 4th edition, and it’s bigger and better than ever!
Water, mud, remote trails, fire, suspended ropes, dense woodland, big jumps, ice pits, huge slides, free beer…and 7,500 fellow Warriors to share it with. Next stop… Leeds!
Total Warrior is back for a fourth year at its Leeds venue in Bramham Park, and it’s going to be a cracker! Taking place over the weekend of 24th and 25th of June, Total Warrior will weave a challenging 12KM trial course through the stunning surroundings at Bramham Park. You’ll be face to face with 30 obstacles across the route, with names such as ‘The Hangover’, ‘Cement Mixer’ and ‘Dunking Doughnuts’.
Total Warrior originated in the Lake District, and now welcomes 20,000 Warriors a year across 3 events in Edinburgh, Shap and Leeds. The team are joined for 2017 by Charlie Tatman – formerly Event Director with Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All – and there are some exciting developments planned for the 2017 season. For the first time, our event weekends will feature a Junior Warrior event for 6-11 year olds, and this will be previewed in more detail in a future Run Leeds article.
There is no denying that a Total Warrior course is tough, and at some point, expect to hold on to, climb up or stand on your fellow Warriors. However, Total Warrior events are about fun, not punishment. If you don’t fancy a particular obstacle for whatever reason, you can simply bypass it and continue on the course. DJs, cheer stations and an amazing team of volunteers on course will be driving you on throughout, and a cold beer, t-shirt, freebies and a vibrant Event Village await you at the finish.
Entries for Total Warrior are filling up fast, especially for Saturday 24th June. Visit http://runleeds.co.uk/r/total-warrior/ for details of wave times, and to register.
