Yorkshire Cricket Foundation Returns For Round 2!

Beth Cook

After the success of their first Running Group, Yorkshire Cricket Foundation are ready to announce their running club will be starting back up on Monday 5th September!

Yorkshire Cricket Foundation first launched their running group back in May for a total of 10 weeks as part of their Health & Well-being theme. Offering 75 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise a week, the running group aims to bring people together to improve health & well-being, inclusive of physical, psychological and social aspects.

Having worked to remove barriers, the group is inclusive of all adults, catering from novices to intermediate runners. Sessions include tips and practical advice needed to improve running, as well as providing a fun, sociable environment to do so. A variety of methods are used during sessions including relays, intervals and circuits.

Runner Charlotte Jones, said:

YCF Running Club has been a hit from Day 1! As a member of the YCF team, I took part to support the project, but never expected to have that much fun! It caters for all abilities and paces. We take a variety of routes around Headingley, which is a great way to explore good places to run and we also take part in lots of different activities and games which keeps it interesting. Join us in September!
