Start in the car park and take a left to head down towards the reservoir. Here you meet a fork in the path, take either a right or a left and follow the path to complete a loop. Take in the fresh air and the stunning scenery as you go.
The views looking out towards Emley Moor and beyond on a clear day from the South of the reservoir are superb and well worth stopping to appreciate!
With a surface area of nearly 60 acres, Ardsley reservoir stores water which has been transported from as far as Ripponden and Barnsley. The water is used to supply the residents of Wakefield as well as the nearby Coca-Cola plant.
